Royal’s is owned and operated by Eric, a native North Carolinian and a retired USMC veteran. In 2003, I realized that cutting hair was what i wanted to do when my military journey came to an end. That thought came to fruition in 2013 when I enrolled in Alamo City Barber College out of San Antonio, Texas. Having the determination and drive I completed barber school in 9 months and was licensed, while still on active duty.

Upon retiring in 2014, I moved my family back to Eastern North Carolina to begin my new profession. Over the course of the next 9 years I worked with two of the best Master Barbers and not only was i able to hone my skills, but learn the business and how to provide a service. It’s through my experience, I have grown to believe in myself, the service that i provide and rendering that service in a professional, sanitary and welcoming environment.
